Why Princess Cruise Lines?
  • #1 Cruise Line in Alaska - Princess has been voted the “Best Cruise Line in Alaska” for the past 16 years! With over 50 years’ experience in the Great Land, Princess is the Alaska expert having helped more guests make Alaska memories than any other cruise line.
  • North To Alaska Onboard Program - Unlike other cruise lines who keep the same Caribbean themed entertainment and food on their Alaskan cruises, Princess brings local personalities, culture and cuisine onboard and ashore to immerse you in all things Alaska through their award winning North to Alaska onboard program.
  • Fresh Alaska seafood - Taste your way through the Great Land with locally sourced seafood served how you like. Indulge in chowders, fish & chips and a mouth-watering variety of salmon dishes. Plus, savor 30 distinctive dishes in the “Wild for Alaska Seafood” program.
  • Glacier Bay National Park - While other cruise lines only sail to Tracy Arm or Endicott Arm with one glacier viewing, Princess has obtained access to Glacier Bay National Park from the National Park Service. Here you’ll see multiple glaciers and abundant wildlife during a full day of cruising!
Glacier Bay National Park

With its roaring glaciers, rugged mountains and deep fjords, Glacier Bay National Park feels like a dream. Cruise to this world-renowned landmark — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — and let the landscapes inspire your next adventure. Princess Cruises is an authorized concessioner of Glacier Bay National Park and one of the few cruise lines granted access to this protected area.

Enjoy approximately 9-hours in Glacier Bay National Park cruising by spectacular scenery with one hour spent at the face of Margerie Glacier. National Park rangers will provide commentary from the bridge, hold presentations in the Princess theater and wander the open decks so you may ask them questions. Many of the activities onboard will be suspended to ensure you get the most from this special experience.

Meet the many personalities of Glacier Bay National Park as you cruise through the natural habitats of Alaska’s wildlife. See humpback and killer whales break the ocean’s surface, welcoming you into the Great Land. Wave hello to the sea lions basking in the Alaska sun. Watch harbor seals float atop chunks of ice, and rejoice in the playfulness of sea otters as they float across the water on their backs. Glacier Bay wildlife is a spectacle in and of itself.
Fascinating Ports of Call
In addition to Glacier Bay National Park, you’ll visit the capital of Alaska, Juneau. This is the perfect port for glacier flight seeing and whale watching trips, or try panning for gold and enjoy a delicious salmon bake.

Next, step back in time to explore the Gold Rush era ports of Skagway and Ketchikan. Take a ride on the White Pass Railroad and visit the Red Onion Saloon in Skagway. Walk the famous Creek Street, view the Lumberjack Show or go out on the Aleutian Ballad from Deadliest Catch fame and see real fisherman in action.

There are dozens of exciting options in each port of call for every interest.

Princess Medallion Class Cruising

Picture
Free to all guests, your OceanMedallion is a quarter-sized device that replaces the traditional cruise card. Wear it wherever you go, and see how easy your vacation can be! Your stateroom door unlocks as you approach, your food and drinks find you, and friends and family can easily locate you. The OceanMedallion also serves as your ticket on and off the ship. Guests who purchase Princess Plus or Princess Premier (see below) will receive their Medallion in the mail prior to departure, speeding up your embarkation upon arrival at the ship.

Rooms & Rates

Insider Tip: My #1 tip for Alaska is to get a room with a balcony! We are cruising through the Inside Passage with nonstop scenery and wildlife viewing opportunities. An entire day is spent in Glacier Bay National Park. It's daylight most of each day, and there are no true "sea days" with nothing to see.

If you book an interior room, you will miss a lot of the experience! Trying to find space along the rail on the crowded upper decks in full wind and weather is not enjoyable. With a private balcony, you'll be able to enjoy the scenery from the warmth of your room at any time during the cruise. It's not every day you get to go to Alaska; make the best of it!
